Lazarus St. Brendan's, episkopos of the 23rd International Church of Eris and 5th Discordian Legion head was spinning. He couldn't believe the synchro-mesh he had gotten involved in. Picking up a simple book shouldn't lead to the crazyness that had followed. He thought, "If I hadn't picked up that book, I would still have a simple life, without seeing conspiracies everywhere. Cosmic Coincidence Control Center might have left me the bloody hell alone. No, wait a minute now, maybe I was on this path, no matter what my actions had uncovered. But that would take away my free will. But are we ever really free?"
